What machines does Deka Makine manufacture?
We manufacture vertical processing machines for flat glass: DD6 vertical glass drilling, DKDT vertical break-in and grinding, VGWM vertical glass cleaning, FSR Vertical CNC glass processing center. Four of them together form a complete vertical glass processing line.
Do you also manufacture glass cutting machines?
No. Our product range focuses on post-cutting processes: washing, edge finishing (grinding/polishing), drilling, and CNC machining. Everything after your glass cutting line exits is our domain.
How do I place an order?
Orders are not accepted directly through the website. Since machine selection is configured according to your production line, the process begins with a quotation: you share your glass dimensions, thickness range, and capacity target, and we will determine the appropriate configuration and price.
Can I see the machines in operation?
Yes. You can schedule an appointment to inspect the machines at our production facility in Akyurt, Ankara. You also have the opportunity to participate in the pre-shipment acceptance test.
Does the machine operate independently or as part of a production line?
Both are possible. The machines can be configured to operate both standalone and inline. If you share the dimensions and speed information of your existing insulating glass or tempering line, we can determine the compatible configuration together.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery time varies depending on the machine type, configuration, and the current production schedule. A precise delivery date will be provided during the quotation process.
Do you export?
Yes, we ship internationally. The destination country and delivery method (EXW, FOB, CIF) will be clarified during the quotation process.
Technical Questions
Can tempered glass be punctured?
No. After tempering, you cannot drill holes, cut, or process edges in glass; it will shatter. All processes... before entering the tempering furnace It must be completed. This is the most common mistake in production planning.
Why is break-in before tempering necessary?
In tempering, glass is heated to 620-650 °C and then rapidly cooled. If there is an untreated microcrack at the edge, the resulting stress will enlarge it, causing the glass to shatter in the furnace or afterwards. This is the most common cause of waste losses in tempering plants.
Is it possible to process glass with a Low-E coating?
Yes. The VGWM washing machine works with brush and pressure settings suitable for Low-E coated glass; DKDT and FSR also support Low-E glass processing. Adjustable pressure is particularly critical for soft-coat glass.
Is laminated glass possible?
Yes. Processing parameters that protect the interlayer PVB in laminated glass are used. DD6, DKDT, and FSR support laminated glass processing.
How close to the edge of the glass can the hole be made?
In general industry practice, it is recommended that the distance between the edge of the hole and the edge of the glass be at least twice the thickness of the glass. Exact values vary depending on the type of glass and whether it will be tempered; please share your project so we can evaluate it together.
Is demineralized water necessary for washing?
Yes, for the final rinse, especially in areas with hard water. Hard water leaves limescale stains on the glass after drying; if this stain remains inside the glass unit, it cannot be cleaned again.
Does it include installation and operator training?
Yes. On-site installation, commissioning, and operator training are handled by us. Training covers daily use as well as routine maintenance and tool/grinding changes.
What about after-sales support and spare parts?
We can remotely access and operate the machines; fault diagnosis and most software-related problems are resolved without on-site visits. Since we manufacture our own spare parts, we manage the supply process directly; there are no long waiting times experienced with imported machines.
